Another oil spill: Another accident?

Another oil spill: Another accident?

I sometimes ask myself just how many coincidences it will take for some people to finally ask themselves if something isn’t wrong.

In my industry we have a term for folks who always appear to seek justification.

We call them “dittoheads”.

Dittoheads cannot wait to tell you they agree. When confronted with a challenge of expressing an opinion they cannot quote someone else on, they feel lost and lonely.

Facts matter little as long as someone backs them up.

One would think that with the oil spill being still headlining current events, extra precautions on all wells would prevent a next occurance to take place a century or more from now, but no:

Back to back.

Why not repeat what works so well?

After all, people make mistakes and accidents happen … right?

How some people cannot stop chasing their tails and feel a desire to connect some dots is beyond me, but apparently there are those who continue to repeat the same old “Stop that conspiracy stuff” rhetoric to keep others from making them think too much.

And this so close to the November elections.

If we will have them.
